    Why is my Xbox fan so loud for 5-10 mins after I boot it up?


    Since about 3 months ago my Xbox series x fan has been loud 24/7 when on I wasn’t very worried about this issue as I have noise cancelling headphones so I couldn’t hear it when in games. But over the past week the fan has been very loud so I decided to clean it with spraying it with air. And now tonight I have a new worry. When I boot up my Xbox series X why is the fan very loud for 5-10 minutes then randomly goes deadly quiet ? Any tips of how to sort this out

    Thats a fairly large game so I believe what you are hearing is the disc drive spinning as the cooling system engages to keep the console from overheating.

    It is VERY common even for Xbox One consoles to have an increased fan speed that will sound loud as it spins faster while playing large open-world games like this one and GTA.

    Can you remove the disc and launch any other game (not a large open-world title) and see if that changes the acceleration and quiets it down a bit?

    Spilled some soda on top of xbox slim right into vent. Now fan is super loud.

    When you say its loud, what kind of loud is it? It could just be the syrup from your pop acting like a resin (kinda like how violins work) making the fan vibrate and be louder. If the fan still works, I would not worry about any over heating. How long does
    the fan run after you turn the xbox off? My fan tends to run for about 5-10 seconds after I turn my xbox off and I always take good care of my xbox. I do not think it is anything to worry about. Hope this helps and try to avoid spilling anything else on your
    xbox :)

    This doesn't help nothing is downloading there is nothing in the disc tray etc i have been using Xbox live for 8 year and have got through 4 consoles they need to sort out problems with them. The fan it that loud when I am in a Xbox party my friends are
    able to hear the fan it seems the never stop and gets increasingly louder if left on for 5 min
