    Why is my xbox disconnecting from wifi and rejecting my controllers?


    I have had my xbox for about 8 months and it's been functioning normally but the other day all of a sudden I turned on my console for it be to disconnected from the internet and my controllers kept disconnecting (controllers were fully charged) I then tried using my phone charger and plugging it into the Xbox and that seemed to fix the controller issue. I have also switched to ethernet and it works as I expected it's just the wireless side of things that don't work I'm just wondering if this is a problem with the wifi card. And If it is why did it happen?? I have not moved anything that will disturb wifi connection I have a deco x20 in my room that supply's my wireless connection it works on all my other device's but my xbox

    Xbox one controller disconnects when I lose connection to the internet

    I know why my internet keeps disconnecting. What im saying is my controller disconnects when i lose connection. It will reconnect but on rare occasions it will not turn back on. Dont worry about the wifi part. All I need to know is if the controllers are
    supposed to drop conneection and then reconnect when the xbox all of a sudden loses internet connection. I dont lose control of the wifi.

    I'm sorry to see any disconnect issues! If you haven't already, go through our

    controller disconnect     support article. This has a lot of steps in it, and the final part being if a second controller is doing this then you will need to get a replacement console.

    Hello Tiger,

    Sorry for the issue with it disconnecting. Try
    power cycle     your console and network hardware. While the console off make sure to plug it directly into a wall outlet. Try these and let us know how it goes. Both shouldn't go off at the same time. However, if there is interference this could cause that.
