why is my xbox app not launching and i have tried everything to fix it but it wont open?

A. Run the Gaming Services repair tool and then try again.

B. Perform a clean boot in your PC, once restarted, try again.

C. Search “Services” by using the Windows search functionality and look for the following services:

IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming Services

For each service: Right-click on the service > Properties.
In Startup Type, set the service to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start > Apply > OK to save changes, restart your PC and try again.

Note: In case GamingServices can't be modified, skip that one.

D. Right-click on the Windows button and select PowerShell (run as administrator)

Then, run the following command: (you may want to copy and paste the entire command)

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_. InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}.

This command can take a while to end, but when the process ends, you should be able to type in the PowerShell window.
After that, please restart your computer and try again.

E. Create a new local user on your PC. Then test again.

Having trouble launching the Xbox app on my new PC. I've tried several things in PowerShield and commands, repaired and installed many Xbox related apps, and everything is up to date. I signed up for the 1-month trial of Xbox Game Pass but can’t launch Xbox. I managed to open the app client but it loads and says “Xbox needs an update. We’re getting Xbox ready for you…” and nothing happens for hours.

Have you have tried unplugging the power supply for 10 seconds from both the outlet and the Xbox One and then trying it?

If you have and it still wont power up, then you have a problem that needs a repair/replacement.

Microsoft what is going on with this, Did a full reinstall of Windows 11 and every other game launcher works fine, Xbox app is now literally locking up my computer with slow launches and I have to reboot to get out of it. everything I have tried doesn't work, repair, reinstall the Xbox app. Can not use Xbox ultimate on my Windows 11 PC. Was working before I reinstalled everything. Whats the fix?

Hi, same person different device, my console was turning itself off immediately after I turned it on. Then when I got it to turn on my games and apps would crash as I tried to open them multiple times before letting me play. Now that issue is fixed. Apparently
I was gaming sharing with my friend and that's why the game was wiped but I repurchased the game and the files are still there but they wont open.
