: Why is my Xbox 360 E getting the IP Address Error?

Hi Jamie, thanks for the response. Unfortunately I have already tried that multiple times (restoring factor defaults) and it has not solved the issue.

Hey, @sundayAtHome This means that the console is either not getting an IP address from the customer’s modem or router, or that the static IP address the console is trying to use is not working. Resolving this error is a simple task in either case.. um I believe that is your problem so please follow these instructions. Reset your Xbox network settings to the defaults

1. Turn off your Xbox 360 console.
2. The wireless connection only: Unplug the Xbox 360 Wireless
   Networking Adapter from the USB port (if applicable).
3. Turn on your console.
4. Press the Guide button on your
   controller, go to Settings and then select System Settings.
5. Select Network Settings.
6. Select Wired Network or the
   name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
7. Select Configure Network.
8. On the Additional Settings
   tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults.

I bought one for $20. It works great on my computer, but I cannot get it to work on my XBox 360. I keep getting an 'IP Address Error' message.

Since the default automatic settings did not work, try setting the IP address manually. First get your computer's IP settings, and then set your console's IP settings.
