Why is my username weird on Minecraft for windows

I recently purchased Minecraft on my windows 11 desktop, and i had a good time playing java. However when I switched to bedrock to play with my friends my username was weird and didn't match my gamertag. I have no idea why this happened, and it seems to assume a new name when I switch characters. I am confused and have a vague idea what might be happening

This can happen when the game didn't load properly.

Your name was changed to the Skin file name temporarily.

Please, close the game, restart your PC, and launch it again.

It should fix it.

I havent been able to fix this yet. A lead that I read says it is related to the username that you use in Windows. If the username has a "weird" character like "ñ" from spanish or "è" from french, the Xcloud will not be able to read it. Still, there are some people that managed to make it work after changing the username but it wasn't my case.

When I logged into windows 10 using my Microsoft account it instantly used my Xbox username. It there any way I can make my Minecraft account different than my Xbox username? This would be extremely helpful, especially because my Minecraft username
is 13 letters, and Xbox usernames can only be 12 letters!

Ah, nevermind. The windows 7/8 launcher works.

But I don't know why it says I don't own Minecraft anymore. I literally had access to it like in September. My minecraft username is JackPoopyJack.
