Why is my startup update stuck at 36%?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

We may need to perform an extended powercycle and reset the network hardware of your console by following the steps below accordingly:

" 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."

That could be it if you havnt lvld up in your own game you could be getting as little as 1 xp per kill. As well as really low xp awards from missions. I suggest you finish playthrough 1 and start again on tru vault hunter difficulty

System Update Troubleshooter has steps that can help - from the first page, select "I need to troubleshoot a system update error", then select which Xbox One model you're using (original, S, or X), and then select the "I am experiencing a startup issue"
option.

Give that a shot, and let us know if you see any improvement!

Thought I was the only one. Mine gets stuck on 36% (having issues with Halo MCC update also)

I also on iinet, in Aust. Coincidence? Doubt it.

and it won't let me do an offline update anyway lol, happy days.
