Why is my official Xbox Wireless Headset breaking apart?

Hello.

I bought official Xbox Wireless Headset a couple weeks ago, and its working well, software wise , but recently I've started to notice the top headband plastic breaking apart from the actual headband cushion. There seems to be a few clips that were holding the 2 together, but now they're apart. I haven't dropped or thrown my headset so does that mean this is just a factory defect? I drove quite a long way so I don't think I can drive back to the place i bought it from. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes it does clip back together, but separates again when I wear it. I'll be contacting microsoft.

because like the xbox series consoles, they are built in a rush and looks like there is a lacking in quality control and they are made from the cheapest materials you can find.

does it clip back together if you push on it.

I've had mine since the release day and I haven't come across any faults with mine, and i use mine daily. I'm sure this is just a one off and you can send the headset off to Microsoft as it will still be under warranty. Hope this helps.

I have 2 official Microsoft Wireless headsets, and 1 Official Microsoft Wireless Bluetooth headset and all 3 do the same thing. I'm not sure why they do this on my console but I can take my headsets to my friends place and my headset I take there doesn't
have this problem when I play games there on his Xbox.
