    Why is my mouse suddenly not working


    Hi! I have a USB-wired mouse. It worked perfectly fine until now. The problem is that when I plug the USB in it works perfectly fine, but after a short while, it just stops moving. I tried new USB ports, and a mouse pad, but none worked. I know it is correctly connected because the red light is on at the bottom. I ran the mouse and hardware troubleshooter but they did not fix the problem. I have this model of the mouse: M-UVDEL1

    I have no problem with buying a new mouse, just want to see if I did anything wrong or broke it by accident, I wouldn't want that to repeat. So if you know it is broken and why or have a solution, please reply to this post.

    This issue happens on a Windows PC (8.1)

    Also, I connected this mouse onto another computer, but the same thing happens

    An important note: the mouse's light is on, and it does click and scroll, but for some reason doesn't move

    If you can't move the mouse on another PC as well, there's a high possibility that the problem is with the mouse.

    Is it possible to borrow a USB mouse from a friend, just to test it on your PC? If the mouse works completely, unfortunately, you will have to replace the faulty mouse.
