why is my Microsoft store ark not updating to 962.1

I tried to play with my friend which plays on Xbox and when i tried joining it says buildid does not match host and then I realized he had a different version from me he had 962.1 and I had 961.2 but when I went to Microsoft store to try and update the game it said the everything was up to date I don't know if this is just me or if other people are having the same problem

The version found in the Microsoft Store is the latest version published by the developer, if it is outdated, you should contact the game support and report this problem. You can do so with the information listed here:

Thank you for the response! I cannot remember what update of my drivers ark originally worked at. I do not have any games other then ark on Microsoft store so i am not sure but i can check quickly.

Hey, so I think I figured out the problem.

Try opening the Microsoft Store, going to "My Library"

Click "downloads"

Then at the top right, "Get Updates" After that, you should see the ark updating itself
