why is my installed game controllers tab empty even tho my xbox controller is connected?

I've tried updating the drivers, it says I have all the latest drivers installed. I restarted my computer, tried uninstalling it then plugging it back in, but it doesn't seem to work.(im using a cable for the controller)It was working before then all of a sudden its not. I have also tried connecting my ps4 controller, its connected but not appearing on installed game controllers. So what do I do?

Have you tried updating the drivers for your controller?

You can do this by going to the Device Manager on your computer, finding the Xbox controller under "Human Interface Devices," right-clicking on it, and selecting "Update Driver."

You can also try restarting your computer and reconnecting the controller to see if that helps.

my xbox one controller keep not connecting to pc even tho I I'm use using the cord for it to work

On the console there is a Games and Apps section. From there you can see everything you have installed, anything that is still installing, or anything that is Ready to Install. Check there to see if it's been installed already. For add-ons, you'll
need to highlight the game, click the menu button on the controller (the 3 lines) and choose Manage Game and you can view the add-ons there.

I did this... I went to My Apps and Games, clicked on Games, and then to the ready to install tab but nothing was there. I went to Manage Add-ons tab and it was empty
