    Why is my fan not spinning properly ?


    The fan is barerly spining if it spins at all and when it does for that 2 seconds every 5 seconds it comes with sound like it was loose or something ,i do t know if cleaning it would be ok or do i have to replace the fan at this point ?

    Is it possible your console in on instant on mode? That could be the reason why the fan is still on. If you turn the power to power saving mode, that will turn the console off without the fan spinning.

    The only two things that can make that kind of annoys is the disk Drive and the fan. Have you tried to have the console on without any disks in the system? If the noise continues, its a fan issue, if not, probably the disc drive isnt spinning properly or
    possibly something hitting it.

    How long has this been going on for?

    How silent is the XB1 ment to be?

    Lol.. no my gaming setup isn't like that. But as Ive read and heard the xbox one is ment to be dead silent I gave it a good listen.. head about a foot away and I can hear the fan's whirring away, spinning around I gather.

    Just not sure if this IS a normal sound as like mentioned its a fan it has to spin, but why did MS support say straight away in needs to be replaced?
