Why is my desired gamertag not allowed?

I desperately want to change my gamertag but I keep getting told it's not allowed Xbox Live isn't telling me the gamertag is taken, it's telling me its straight-up not allowed. I've talked with agents twice who both said something in the gamertag algorithm flags it as offensive causing it to be unavailable. I don't understand this. I was able to select it for my display name for the forums here so what's the problem? Surely there must be someone I can talk to that could possibly get my gamertag approved. Does anyone know who that might be or if there's an appeals process or something?

If you have it on forums then you have it on xbox

Just sign in with the same account

Forums still use the ms account system if you are trying to use it on anothrr account

Well one name per account and they have to be unique

If you wanna put it on anothrr account you must accept a hashtag or change this account and wait abit then change the other account when the name is free up

No, it just clears it from the local box. You’d have to manually delete your saves

Tried it. My gamertag is still showing as my old one and it still wont' let me change. Even took a screengrab of it.

You MIST sign in with your current account

The forums accounts is the same as your xbox account you cannot change it without q double.chamge

You have to delete your profile reset your console

Then redownload the profile since you have it on forums

It's already therr you just need to update your account
