Why is my childhood being ruined?

People of 343, Do you guys half-work with the product then just release an incomplete game, that's glitchy, takes forever; I am not just talking about the Beta I am talking about
Master Chief Collection as well. In the beta you go join Match Making and it loads up all 8 slots with people including yourself. After several minutes, I am just booted out back into lobby, which I find quite nuisance; "UNABLE TO JOIN", "The request
to join has timed out", seeing these error messages over and over. I also like to inform about you have another Match Making problem, I have to load a different Xbox One title game and go back to Master Chief Collection, to even get a match. I don't
know if you guys just release the game to early and not caring about anything, because you guys are ruining my Halo experience, I didn't buy an Xbox One, and Master Chief Collection very recently to get all this stuff happened to me.

343 you are highly disappointing me.

As for a side note, no it isn't my internet connection. I am familiar with networking, just wanted to point that out there just incase if someone said "Oh maybe its your internet".

I feel your pain. I believe Halo is ruined. Halo 4 was just a what the heck did I just play, and I thought they would of redeemed themselves with Halo 5 beta. I'll stick to the classics, excluding Halo 4. The only GOOD thing 343 has done is the MCC.

 

I understand that this is beta, but this is pretty painful, and to be honest not very fun once in a match, so you're really not missing a whole lot. It's way to easy to be killed, not fun at all. Halo 4 went the wrong direction trying to be COD, and now
this.

 

So let me get this straight. You guys cannot make yourselves near impossible to kill like you could in Halo 4/Reach so you are on here crying about it. On top of that it is not the final build. It is a BETA!

I understand its the BETA, but the beta shouldn't be this glitchy whatsoever, nor should the Master Chief Collection be as well as for it's a final release. There shouldn't be any problems when you release a product and from what I've been seeing ever since
the Master Chief Collection came out it's been nothing but problems. I admire Halo just as much any biggest Halo fan there is. I love Halo, but with this being said I am disappointed that these problems are occuring and no results of a solution is being fixed.
Everything is all buggy, and it shouldn't be like this. And as for the beta this should be taken into consideration of FEEDBACK that 343 should fix things promptly, even a lot of the community is going through the same struggle.

 

The thread is not about the MCC however, you are right it was bad but it did get fixed and 343 is in the process of more than making up for it. Also, the beta has only been out for 1 day.

 

MCC is not fixed. Being more of a fan of BTB, it's agonizing to try and get in a game. Yes, I dumped everything and reloaded it. I bought an X1 just for MCC MP and I've lost interest at this point. Even had my box up for sale. Halo 5 beta has impressed me
enough I'm keeping it around now.

 

Yeah the Beta is pretty bad. Die way to fast, everyone travels in pacts because of how the maps are, boost has made it entirely too cheap to get away from a fight, grenades are mini nukes and there is a frightening large amount of net code issues.

 

It is only an beta and i will not say it is bad. It can play well at times. But they have connection issues for sure.

I have been in matches where I was almost invincible. I have also been on the other side of this. I have watched a teammate who was like this take out 3 other players while getting hosed badly. And it was obvious this player should have died. Of course
this player finished with over 25 kills. When I am on the positive side of this I notice right away. And I can just run right in with little thought about losing the battle against 3-4 players.

Hit detection is poor. i have seen some very bad things on the kill cam. Now some would argue that the kill cam is off. Could be. But, I have also pulled these off. Since this is a beta I want to test. So, I miss intentionally and still get the kill.
Shoot the wall after I back away and can no longer see the enemy, get the kill. Shot a player in the foot after the player jumped, headshot.

I have seen stationary enemies take a sniper shot to the head. While others die from a sniper shot to the head. I have seen the BR kill in 2 bursts from full shields and I have seen it take many more than that.

If a player gets stuck on the wrong side of this a lot it would make the game seem terrible. Getting killed quickly while having to do a ton of damage to the other player.

I was in a match with a player whose stats would say was pretty darn good. Instantly I realized why this player had such good stats. He was basically invincible. I was on his team and only died 1 time myself since I apparently had the benefit of this
teammate. Next match this player was on the other team. I hit this player in the head 4 times with the BR while he was shooting it out with my teammates. Player never died. And the players on the other team that we had just dominated where the same. Not
sure why this happens but it does.

Grenades can launch you up in the air. Even if they are away enough to do little to no damage to you.

I have had melee attacks kill when I missed the player and they were no longer in front of me. I have also been killed this way. Might have to do with whatever is causing the bullets to kill even after the player has been gone a second or two.

I was playing early on with some people I know on the other team. We verified that what we saw and thought happened did happen. Like the head-shot kill while shooting well over the players head. Actually shooting with the target reticule outside the players
body and getting credit. It is one reason I do not aim at all and just spray.

In fact, ADS seems to me to be weak. Not saying it should not be. But I can put many more bursts ADS from the BR/Magnum/etc. for kills than hip fire. Hip firing seems to be more powerful. And it is like the bullets are magnets and pull to the player.


Ranking is broken. I have seen players with more loses than wins and more deaths than kills be Gold/Upper Silver while players with more wins than loses and more kills than deaths be bronze/low silver. I gained as many points for 25-4 as I did 8-8 in wins.

Thankfully this is a beta and they have time to fix this. Otherwise it would be like BF and a wait a few months after release and see if it is fixed type of thing.

For a beta with this much time left though it is pretty polished. Now is not the time to complain, not saying anyone is, but instead give feedback. Modes can be added that make it like Halo 2. If enough people want that I am sure it will be in there.
Go to the halo waypoint site and leave your feedback on what you like and do not like as well as what you would like to see. Be constructive and think positive and things may just turn out for the best.

My experience so far has been NOTHING like yours, which I find strange. Also, you can't rely on the kill cam to be accurate as to what that actual player saw.
