    Why is my Blu Ray player app not working?


    Topic,

    Tried to watch a movie on Blu Ray this afternoon, and the app crashed twice, even though I downloaded an update for the thing yesterday.

    Has anyone else had this problem? Should I uninstall and reinstall the app?

    Helpful responses only please, I am fully aware of Google, I use it all day every day.

    Play videos on burned discs

    I've put a disk in and none of the apps even see the optical blu ray drive let alone any media files on it. The blu ray player app does play media on a blu ray disk that is in the proper blu ray format, but VLC, or even the file explorer app do not even display the optical drive. I can play media on an external drive using VLC.

    I will try to assist you. Please can you tell me exactly what is happening when you play a blu ray disc?

    I can provide you with some basic tips so long.

    Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

    To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

    Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

    Select Install to download and install the app.

    Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

    Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

    On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

    Your disc should start playing automatically.

    After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps

    Games Play But Blu Rays Dont

    Go to App Store and download free DVD blu player app for free. It's needed to play blu ray. Dunno why it isn't come installed with xbox

    Why not buy a 3D blu-ray player its not like they cost much and the Xbox One uses software for Blu-ray playback unlike proper Blu-ray players.

    App Download problems

    Unfortunately, that didn't help. Also, on my Games and Apps list, under Queues, the icon for the blu-ray player download is blacked out and has no description or indication that it is the blu-ray player download.

    To watch DVD's or Blu-rays on your Xbox One you need to have the Blu-ray Player App installed and up to date!

    You can set the App to install from your Xbox Store by searching for it or here: Blu-ray Player App
