    Why is my account suddenly restricted and Not changeable?


    I’ve had an Xbox account ever since I was a kid. Unknowingly, my father had me put as a family member. I recently discovered this when I couldn’t even buy Xbox live and had to buy it from a 3rd party store. Since then I have gotten myself removed from that family thing because I am not a child and I do not want someone who I don’t trust running my account.

    I got removed and suddenly my account is restricted to a point where I can only access things rated 3 and under. Basically nothing, not even YouTube or my Netflix account or the games that I’ve payed for. When I go to change the restrictions it says that I need an adult to sign in. That adult being my father who would never give access to his account and I don’t trust him having mine. This needs to be fixed. Im not giving up all my money and effort because of a Microsoft error or if my father did this or not but it seems Microsoft support won’t help me whatsoever. If anyone knows how to fix it I will gladly listen.

    I’ve already went through all settings and it claims that I still have a child account so I can’t access any of it

    I sorted it but not completely. I managed to create a new account and put it as a parent and access everything from there. But the account is still set as a child account and I have no clue how to change that

    Your account location (changeable). And actual location (changeable by physically moving to another region) console locale not changeable and is set in stone must match

    It's not meant to be. The terms usage limitations state that they can be used by everyone on the console, 343 have also confirmed that they are looking into the problem. That also doesn't explain the Reach problem or the themes.
