    Why is MINECRAFT for XBOX still not optimised for the SERIES X console?


    The Xbox version of Minecraft: bedrock edition is a very buggy one, and I know that posting this here is pointless, but I am going to anyway

    I have been researching and have been frustrated by MOJANG's false promise of RT/DXR for minecraft on the Xbox Series X/S

    Infact, it is through this research, that I have learnt that Minecraft is not even One X enhanced! After all these years, Minecraft still uses an XBOX ONE version of the game, and this frustrates me. Does anyone know how to activate DXR/RT mode on the Xbox Series x? or will it just be disabled forever?

    Sorry for posting this here, but I am just frustrated, I know no one here can contact MOJANG and i know they are busy with minecraft legends, but I just really want to know.

    I understand you have a question about optimized version of Minecraft for Series consoles.

    There is an article for this one but unfortunately, there has been no updates yet as to when they will be launching Minecraft to be optimized on Series consoles.

    It may happen at some point in the future and might need a lot of work for that before it could happen but as of the moment, DXR/RT for Minecraft is only available for PC users.

    I have also seen some previews about this on the console but no announcement has made as to when it will be available. Sorry to disappoint and I am also waiting for it to happen too.

    Hi,

    Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox was only optimised for Xbox One X it hasn't been optimised for the Series S or X hardware. On the Series S it runs in Xbox One Backwards compatibility mode. As such, it runs at around 900P (around 1600x900). This means it will look quite soft looking on a 4K display, although it should not affect the colours or the contrast.

    Unfortunately, RDR2 is not great on the Series S, especially on a 4K display. FIFA 23 is Series S|X optimised, which is why this game looks a lot better.

    Yeah, those games are optimised for the Xbox Series X|S consoles, so will need to be installed on the internal storage.

    Yeah I understand this, but like I said before...all the games are in the external, but for whatever reason is upgrading and updating to the internal.
    This behaviour only occurs on Series X|S optimised games and only on the series X|S console.

    Basically, if you have an Series X and your Xbox One game has been optimised for the system it will be moved to the faster storage during the update.

    Download move to internal on a Xbox Series X.

    You can set it so that games optimised for the Series X/S are downloaded to the internal storage automatically, if that helps. Go to Settings - System - Storage devices - Change installation locations and you can change the settings there.

    I dunno why there's no warning, but yeah; games optimised for Series X/S consoles can only be run from the internal SSD or a Seagate expansion card, not a regular external hard drive.
