Why is Microsoft unable to have a way to recover your account?

Please be aware that Microsoft takes privacy seriously. Thus, as previously stated, you will need to make sure you provide as much information as possible on the account recovery form. More information on this can be found in this support article here: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form

If you look at point 2 (from the article linked above):

"2. Fill out the form using a recognized device and location

If possible, complete the form using a device you previously used to sign into your account and at a location where you commonly use that device and that we'll recognize, such as your home or office.

When you're ready, you can find the recovery form here: "

This could be useful to you. Rather than filling the form out on a device where you have never signed into the account before. Log in on a device that has previously signed into the account. Such as the PC/Device which was used to create the account.

If you can get the account back, I would strongly recommend making sure you add security proofs. This way, when you forget the password, you can use the security proofs to get a code sent to the device/alternative email address so you can access your account. Lastly, you can fill out the recovery form as many times as you wish. There is no limit on the number of submissions. So, once you remember more information that is needed, please fill out the form again.

There is the account recovery form from account.Microsoft.com

It is the ONLY WAY

You must fill out the form with Info the owner of the account SHOULD know

This is a LEGAL privacy requirements if you do not meet the pii requirements no-one can hand you an account and you wouldn't want anyone to

The pii requirements are there to prevent people from.guessing.and trying to steal an account with incomplete info

I don't think you realize the issue

MS.is doing their job if you cannot fulfill the legal requirements of proof of ownership there is nothing legally ms can do

There are certain info.and requirements YOU MUST.meet as legally required

Not sure why you would.want.an interactive.person since you.need to.meet the said requirements and no they cannot. Play that is.incorrect this is correct

That's.leadimg and is.a bad idea since it gives any random.person unlimited chances to.guess pii

Pii.info.isnt something.that is tangerible

It's.is.set.conditions that.must.be met and.your.child.input into the account info

This.cannot.be changed by.anyone even after stealing an account

If your child didn't use their real info or used random things well no amount of guessing is.going to.help.you

Despite what you think it's not upto ms to remember your details it is the account holders job and no they can't give you.hints also.against the pii .laws

Pii info is things that are absolute like.name account creation date address phone numbers

Creditcard info.etc

Things no-one else.should know about your account

Despite what you think privacy laws are .absolute you can't choose to follow them or not

Ummm no pii is about info about your account

You must meet pii to get any info about an account

Confirming you are who you say you are

Pii.is just.one.of.thr requirements.

You must.meet and know certain info

If you.do.notmatch pii.of an account it disqualifies.everything else

It.doesn't.matter if you think your account is worth hacking into

Your data is still part of the privacy laws

You must.meet.the requirements

Which obviously you don't since you are failing

Take.up the issue with your son and what he put in

Note.the more.empty slots you leave the less they have to work with

And there is more.comments which you can use for other info about the account

Account creation date

Isp

Ip address which does not change often

Devices used

Friends list etc

If you put in Albert in the form but on the account the name.is ROB it.cancels out your form.immediately

They are looking for the original info on the account not I fi that gets changed at a later date

So.yes pii is.important

1. There are no legal requirements here and an account is not PII. PII would be releasing a date of birth, or a name, etc. I have input those multiple times for the account. I have input everything in every way possible. But understand that Microsoft's customer service is absolute garbage and their resolution of having people who can only do what you can do is absolute BS.

And, besides, my account, and my son's account are not important enough to hack into. Are some people important? Sure, but accounts that are never used? Have at it. If you do hack in, can you please let me know what the GD password is so that he can start playing minecraft again and not have lost all of his achievements, etc?

Thanks for keeping us updated on the issue with recovering your account. The only way to recover the email address is to follow this

guide. Once you recover the email you then can change the password with this
link. There also is one more you can look through to see if it helps for
forgot email. The reason why support is unable to help, is if you can't verify they are unable to see any information on the account. This is in place to protect the customer's account.

The only way to recover the account is through these methods I have posted here.
