    Hello. When I went to log into to my Microsoft account via Minecraft on my iPad to join a private realm I use, it asked me to set a gamer tag as if I am a new user that has never set up a gamer tag before. And when I tried to put in the gamer I have been using, wouldn’t accept it.

    Can anyone explain why this would have happened? I have’t logged in and gamed for a couple of months, but had assumed that regardless of any updates that may have occurred in the interim, my chosen gamer tag should remain linked to my Microsoft account. I really don’t want to have to create a new gamer tag - any suggestion on how to fix this.? Thanks Why is Microsoft asking me to set a gamer tag (as if I’m a new user) when I already have... :)

    Problem solved! I found thatI I have an old ms account attached to an old email address that I had forgotten all about. My gamer tag is linked to that one, so all good.

    My question was not answered, I asked the question why did I have to create a new game tag ID to enable log into FS2020 when I already had a game tag ID and passwords set up.?

    The system asked me to log in using my Microsoft password for my email account, when I entered my password the message kept replying use Microsoft account and failed to let me log in.
