Why is M$ denying my refund request on a game that doesn’t work?

i recently purchased the game Resident evil 0 and the game keeps randomly crashing my console and i cant even progress through the game. A quick google search reveals that everyone who has bought this game for the last few months has had the same problem.
I requested a refund as any sane person who just spent 20 dollars on a game they cant even play without crashing would. And i got an email telling me that my refund was denied. Are you serious microsoft? Are you serious capcom? Why has my refund request been
denied?

No one in the forums can tell you why they denied your refund. You should have received an email and if you disagree with the decision you would need to respond to the email and explain your situation further. They alone make those decisions.

respond directly by replying to the email you received containing the denial to ask them for another review and state your case. It can sometimes take them about 24 hours to respond, but you should have another communication
from them within 48 hours.

Also note that the issue with that game has been fixed and is currently in the Beta ring for Insider testers. It should be released to the general public soon.

It was 3 days ago and i had maybe an hours worth of play time when i requested the refund. Kept getting to the same cutscene and my entire console would shut off.
