Why is it that I can only hear through my headset not my TV

Kindly check on the following.

• Cable is firmly connected to the audio out port of the TV.
  
• Set/adjust volume on the source to the desired listening level, use the volume on the headphone.
  
• Check output sound from both your speakers and your external audio device.
  
• Connect your wired headphones to the TV headphone jack (only applies to TV models that have a headphone jack) and your external audio system/soundbar to the digital optical port of your TV using a digital optical cable (not supplied).
  

Note: If you connect your external audio device to the TV headphone jack, the HDMI ports, or through a Bluetooth® connection, the TV can't output sound from both the TV speakers and the audio device at the same time.

• Connections may differ depending on the devices used. Your TV Help guide provides additional information for connecting your TV to an audio system, soundbar, and headphones. Check your device manual model-specific information.

I can hear game volume through my TV, just not through my headset. I can hear party audio, just not game audio.

nope doesnt work. Im going to describe my problem in greater detail. Im in a party with my friends but i can only hear them in my headset. The game audio is going through the tv and not the headset.

Did anybody have a resolution for this?

I am having the exact same problem, however I can hear the volume up and down through my headset.

I can not hear others when the headset is plugged in to my controller. But they can hear me.

If I unplug it, I can hear others through my tv.

Please... I would love a resolution to this asap.
