Why is Game with gold (August) Portal Knights not free in Singapore ?

Get a gold free game from another region will not have any problem, have a good play time~

This is not correct, as far as I know. Changing regions to get content for free (if it's not free in your country) is against the MS terms of service. Do it at your own risk.

That said, the Xbox page does list the game as a free GwG for Singapore, so
in this case there shouldn't be any issues. I'd imagine they'll fix the pricing error in the coming days, though. Patience.

Will there be a problem playing the game if you tried to download the game from another region instead of your local country where your gold membership is ?

You may login your Microsoft account, if didn't login, it won't show free price.

After purchased, there's a notice like "You can play Portal Knights with your Xbox Live Gold or buy it to own."

Then can click button "Install on my devices" to install game.

Also, you can download Xbox Mobile App and try to download.

Somehow the MS support team has noticed the issue fix it.
