why is everything so easy to access and tamper with? a discussion on necessitating the...

so after a pretty fun session playing though some PvP games with friends i started to notice my controller malfunctioning, at first i chalked it up to drift and the controller getting a bit old... then it started malfunctioning in ways that couldn't be explained by drift and old age, stuff like Ryder in ME:A suddenly Zigzagging when i was trying to listen in on a conversation, or randomly switching weapons and the like, or in Fortnite when im trying to help friends in STW mode and my character wont stop jumping and swapping weapons, or randomly playing emotes, about that point is when i caught on.... me and my friends had gotten hit with a remote rubber ducky

now i really dont care if some one takes advantage of an exploit, cheats, or hacks as long as it doesn't harm or antagonize other players, after all gaming is meant to be fun and enjoyable, but i draw the line at sabotaging other players hardware no matter the reason, its cruel , i now have to spend $60 on a new controller, instead of buying Dying Light 2, and if i could find out the player id have the reported on every platform and game already, but alas i cant figure out who it was being that it probably happened sometime in the span of 6 battle royale runs in Fortnite, or it could have been in any of the 2 dozen matches on Injustice 2 or Mortal Kombat 11, i just have no clue when we could have been hit with it

most likely it was Fortnite, being that me and my 2 friends were all hit, but it seem to take effect at different times, mine for instance started happening about the 5th royale run, but by that point we got off after the 6th, my friend C started seeing it around the 2nd Royale, and my friend K started up about the time we started doing the Royale run, so its hard to pin down besides noticing it wasn't showing up while we played Injustice and MK

im starting to really hate how easy it is to remote access Microsoft stuff, it was bad enough that i had to uninstall stuff like Youtube and Photos because my sisters autistic kid loves streaming his tablets to my stuff, then we had to set up his own internet because they made it even worse by allowing you to stream movies &TV, VUDU, and Groove music, now you can VERY EASILY remote access stuff like controllers and headsets that have on board programming, and upload code to it, seriously im all for the easy accessibility, but not at the cost of the user being unable to deny access to others that have malicious intent

so from now on, or i guess when i get my new controller going forward from there, neither me nor my friend want to play any of these PvP games, especially with it being so easy to inject code into the controllers, its already depressing that i wont be able to play Dying Light 2 when it comes out, but its possible that i wont be playing it for quite a while since it launches in about the only time this year i have enough expendable cash to buy a game, and im not giving up my savings that are meant for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, cant even watch Netflix with how bad my controllers issue is, i have to use a mouse and keyboard until i can get another controller
