Why is every gamertag I choose not allowed?

I'm trying to change my gamertag that I've had for like 10 years because it has "miss" in it (miss ), because not only am I married now but I also just dislike it outing me as female in online games... But literally everything I type in says "this
gamertag is not allowed", leading me to assume the name "" is banned for some reason? It's just an old surname in my genealogy, why would it be not allowed? I've seriously tried like 20 different short, innocuous words to pair it with, either before
or after "", and every single one says "not allowed"... Is there anything I can do to have them approve it? Theres literally nothing offensive about it.

I thought fruhauf may mean something else in German, but apparently, it only means
up early. I've no idea why it's being blocked, but the list of offensive words grows every day. The Linux developers just blacklisted the word
blacklist, along with whitelist, master and slave.

To follow up with there explanations. Normally, if you create the account directly through the console, you are then allowed to choose your own gamertag. Now, the free gamertag change are for those players that created their accounts online who have been
given a random generated gamertag. That's why they are given a way to choose their desired one.

What do you mean by your "current username"?

If the system tells you that gamertag isn't allowed, then there are specific reasons why it's not allowed. Maybe it's a slang term in a different language, or a trademarked name or some other reason why Microsoft blocked that name.

You would have to choose a different one.

I remember when they actually let people choose their new gamertag for free when they forced them to change it. Seems like a ripoff to stick you with a gamertag and make you pay to change it. But then again, they probably do this now because forced gamertag
changes were abused by some members. People would purposely choose somewhat "offensive" gamertags and get people they know to file a complaint whenever they wanted a new gamertag. Either way, if a gamertag is so offensive because of one word, I don't see why
the word would even be allowed to be in a gamertag. Oh well.

I think you're misunderstanding the numbers in gamertags. I'm prettt sure you only have numbers if you want a gamertag that already exists and i don't believe you get to choose the number. As for allowing emojis in gamertags i don't agree it should be
allowed. It would mean a lot of work as they would need to add the ability for emojis to be displayable to consoles and it makes typing gamertags a lot harder. Also i don't understand why you would want an emoji in your username anyway.
