Why is dossing not being attended to as it should?

because getting an IP address is fully legal but messing with it in anyway is then illegal, when you connect to a server or chat then your ip is visible over the network, microsoft cant actually do anything as they have no evidence of it and it is not happening
on their network, you need to conact your isp to change ip (or restart router), and contact local enforcement about the cybercrime.

To better protect yourself get a descent VPN.

You know whos dossing though and there for your just reporting random people. ive been banned each morning and 10 min ago i got dossed again and have 24 hour abandon sanction

if they messaged you then yes, if not microsoft have no way of knowing as it happens outside of live. ip addresses can be obtained without external sites to as they are publicly available. if you have been ddossed then contact you isp.

Players should get marked down for quitting or subverting the way a game is meant to be played though smiles. Online games feature other people. Real people sitting down to play specific games.

If you agree to play doubles in tennis in real life, that's the fun game you're playing, if you decide mid-match that you'd have more fun playing jump the net and teabag the ball boy... you're ruining the game three other people wanted to play.

So if they'd rather not encounter you again, and instead to buddy up with people who want to play the game the way it was meant to be played, they're gonna do that. In video games that means reporting a player and hopefully never encountering them through

There's a group of gamers that call dossing around at other gamers' expense 'fun' and there's a group that calls it 'griefing'. I think the group that calls dossing around 'fun' should doss around in singleplayer games. But they won't, because it's only
'fun' for most when they're dossing around to pretty much 'grief' other players. lol {XD

This doesnt help a single bit your pointing out the obvious my location is private info and that shows up on the website and my ip should be private when people can openly doss me offline because of it
