Why is a UC2: Liandri Conflict not available on Cloud Gaming?

Backwards Compatibility on the Xbox One/Series is completely different than the Xbox 360. It requires the game be ported to work.

Those running illicit emulators are breaking TOS and risking their consoles and accounts being banned.

If it's not on Game Pass, it will not be added to cloud as it stands today. If it's not currently BC, it won't be, because the team doing it has moved on. If you want a reissue, you can go ask Epic to make it happen, but Microsoft, as they do not own the copyright, has no ability to do what you ask.

The console is already dead thanks to Microsoft not building reliable hardware so I don't care, we can quite easily claim for our money back on games bought through the Microsoft Store and XBOX app on PC if Microsoft decides to target people using perfectly legal emulators of "dead platforms" that are no longer supported or manufactured to run old games that as you have said are also no longer supported.

There's a reason emulators have been operating LEGALLY for so long, it's only a matter of time until they catch up in terms of performance and everyone sticks to using PC's. I'll just wait for that

Do you know how rare a working console is ? From over 20 years ago if they were all still working nowadays they wouldn't be worth 300 bucks I had my 360 for 8 years.before ms offered me a xbox one at launch and it was fully functional

Sadly they didnt do fan sweepstakes on series consoles because people kept trying to con their way into a free xbox one during the 100 free consoles contest at xbox one launch

It may have.been backwards compatible the old version but.That's doesn't apply to the new consoles since that license expired since the defunct of midway

There are some issues here unfortunately.

The backwards compatibility program has ended, if your game wasn't made BC now it won't be. All the games that run on Xbox cloud run via Series X hardware, since the game isn't BC it can't be added to the streaming service.

UC2: Liandri Conflict was not published or developed by Microsoft, so it would be up to whoever owns the license to this game to release a remastered version now. The original Publisher was Midway Games, but they went out of business in 2010.

It is "backward compatible"

It's an XBOX original that ran on XBOX 360 and people have videos of it running on Xbox One and Series.

The issue is it needs a port or to be added to Xbox Cloud Gaming services so it can be played on Microsoft PC's via Windows without the need for a 3rd party emulator.

I have even seen 4K footage of this game on YouTube for newer XBOX consoles but the framerate is choppy, as they are with most 4K games. That is why we need it running on Windows with a port or via Xbox Cloud Gaming services.

It wouldn't take much to do, and would stop those 3rd party emulators that Microsoft hates so much, evidenced by their ban of Xbox Series emulation.

So to conclude

This game DOES have backward compatibility, being able to run on newer consoles, but the XBOX360 and XBOX ONE "emulators" do not work together with XBOX Classic games due to being different game files and them being emulators, despite being able to load XBOX Classic games on these physical systems as evidenced by YouTube and anyone who owned a copy of this game and a XBOX360 onward. We cannot use a newer emulator to run these games with performance and better visuals, due to this problem, so a port or inclusion to cloud gaming is needed. Otherwise this game will die and the most innovative part of the Unreal franchise will die with it.
