Why invest in first party exclusives when Microsoft will let them be ruined by weak devs...

One more thing you say microsoft is losing 3rd party support why because they decided to show more first party ill take first party over 3rd party any day of the weak and lets not forget other companies cant compete against microsoft when it comes to money

Timed exclusive iwould imagine. For a developer to cut out half of its consumer based, they would have to be a first party develope, i.e. a sony or microsoft in house developer. Third party devs just cant afford to make a game and not put on both major consoles
unless the console manufacturer pays the difference outta their own pocket, and niether sony or ms can afford to pump that kind of money into a game without knowing the returns on that deal will be more than the investment. So basically the days of third party

Not lost at all... 1st party is really the main gaming aspect separating both console's library of games. How many times have we seen a one time 360 console exclusive made by a 3rd party dev eventually come out on the other system this gen? = Quite a few
times. (Bioshock/Mass Effect/Oblivion)

I bought the 360 going off the exclusive 1st party games Microsoft brought to their XBOX last gen. So yes I was very let-down by Microsoft forgetting why many became an Xbox fan in the first place... Sadly, it seems they have completely forgotten.

lets not get into exclusives-in a side by side comparison MS would look weak..on the bright side-i do think maybe some of Sonys recent exclusives will go mutiplatform..remember Final Fantasy and Star Ocean 4...If MS gets some of Sonys current gen exclusives
on their platform and a good lineup of their first party they may be able to make ppl forget this botched launch.Still-the key to them performing well depends on their ability to face the tough questions head on..It would be nice to see it done BEFORE e3 so
they can focus on games instesd of rumours.MS also said they have strong Japenese dev support but didnt they say this the last time?
