Why i have 172ms latency on xbox 360?

Well every game I get put into is 80-100ms latency. So I’m just curious why the Xbox latency is still that high.

Thanks for the reply, Okay yes i understand that but why is my latency so high? I cant get into MW2 lobbies because of this as it looks for a latency speed of less than 125ms and is effecting my connection aswell. How do i resolve this. There has to be a
closer server to me than the one my xbox is picking up? My internet speeds are fine, just my Latency. But why is my xbox not picking up a closer server?

If it's so easy to create an emulator.. Why isn't there emulators(xbox 360/ps3) that actually work on PC(Since the architecture is similar, yes I am comparing PCs)? Even Sony didn't work on BC (Yes they will have cloud gaming and you will be able to get
ps3 games and play, Ofc as long as your console is always connected to the internet and Ofc you have a good speed/latency), why would Microsoft? Most of the other consoles didn't have BC and everybody moved on.

If you want to play 360, just buy a 360 or keep the one you have if you do.

I have 53mb dl upload 5.5mb and latency of 89sec. I get Mod on xbox 1 and open on xbox 360 wtf. I am using timewarner ubee modem/router.

I have the same issue. My Internet connection is 500/20 with 10-20ms latency and it usually performs these numbers, but using Network statistics in my Xbox 360 it shows 180-190ms latency, 12.85Mbps upload and 0.01Mbps download.

Probably the service is down and the newer gen xbox consoles use different service for this statistics.
