why i can’t save & continue my profile in Xbox app?

It’s not working. It gets stuck in the “Gamertag” section when I click on “Next”. Nothing happens when I click it. (my account is brand new, I created it today btw)

Hi there! I see. Sorry to hear that. It looks like the issue is with the newly created accounts. At this point, the best course of action might be to wait, as this seems to be a known issue. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I've seen several posts about it, so you're definitely not alone. Typically, if you already have a Microsoft account, signing in to the Xbox app should automatically create a random Xbox Gamertag, which you can later change.

In the meantime, please try the workaround below and let me know if it helps.

1. Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/profile

2. Open a new tab, then copy and paste the link https://account.xbox.com/en-us/Profile

3. From there, try to see if you can create or change your gamertag.

This may mean that your Xbox profile is corrupted if you decide to Delete and redownload your profile,
select Delete Profile Only. (This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.)

Saw this option from the website too, the problem is: when I sign out to make any test and check the option “download profile”, it shows that I can’t connect with my wifi, so it cannot be done. I am afraid to delete my profile and the connection continues
lost.

I can’t connect to Xbox live on 360 back compatible games. The rest of the Xbox one behaves normally. I know it’s not a problem with my console because both my old 360 and the 360 emulator on the Xbox one do it.

I thought maybe the problem was on my end so I did a soft reset. Now the 360 emulator on the Xbox one has no profile on it. I can’t download my profile to it because it can’t connect to Xbox live. So I can’t save at all in back compatible games.

Is it a regional problem? Is it down for maintenance? The status page doesn’t mention anything.
