With consoles the subscriptions subsidizes your console you really didn't think a 1500 dollar pc could really cost 599 did you?

majority of the games servers are paid for and run by the dev/publisher of the game.

also you don't need gold to play online on xbox pc.

if thats the case then why does halo MCC (not a play anywhere title) let you load up the save from xbox on pc either through windows store and even steam.

you can't. you have to purchase the windows store versions of the game, halo infinite is a play anywhere title so purchasing via console or windows store gives you both, halo mcc is not and needs to be purchased for each platform, if you have them on steam you need to purchase on windows store if you want them on the xbox app.
