Why have my games disappeared?

I just got the xbox game pass and downloaded some games a few weeks ago on my PC. Now when I log in, the page looks like it is loading but nothing comes up at all. I checked in the xbox store and it looks like my games uninstalled but they show installed in the microsoft store. I tried downloading the "gaming services" xbox required to play the game I want to play but nothing happens. This has been going on for a few days and nothing I have tried has worked. I've tried restarting my PC, logging out and back in, troubleshooting, messing with the settings, everything that the virtual agent has told me and directed me to here. I can see all the games I downloaded in my profile but they will not open. I can't tell if this is xbox that's messing up or my PC. Someone please help.

Nilay here and I'm glad to answer your query today.

Check if the games are still taking space on your hard drive. If they are then I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
- Select Reset console.
- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

If the games are no longer taking space on your drives, then it means they were uninstalled and you'll have to reinstall them from the store.

If the clips are not on the console or in Microsoft's cloud, unfortunately it will not be possible to retrieve them.

The ideal thing to prevent this from happening again is to use an external HD as media only for captures.

I did buy all of them using EA play but only half of them disappeared so I’m not sure why if it’s my EA subscription why only half would disappear
