Why has my Xbox’s online internet stopped working as good when it reads the statistics are fine

Over the past 2 years I have had this console I have had amazing internet connection. In game I have previously gotten zero lag and or packet loss and my download speed has always ranged from 700-950 mbps and my latency fluctuates from 30-55ms and my upload speed ranges from 450-700 and my nat type has always been open. So as you can see the statistics have always been relatively high and I have always used a wired connection via a Ethernet port. However recently starting a week ago I have been getting an outrageous amount of packet loss and lag even though my internet has held the same statistics as normal. I have tried what I believe to be every bug fix i could find online and none of them seem to stop the lag and lack of online connection I get on games like fortnite nba2k and call of duty. At first I tried resetting my router using different Ethernet cords but nothing would work. However I tried factory resetting my Xbox twice and strangely for a short amount of time in fortnite and nba 2k I had zero lag the 2 times I factory reset but then then after 20 mins of gaming I would receive a huge amount of lag making both games unplayable. So then I wondered if it was just a fault with the internet or if it was my series s so I took my brothers Xbox and used the same Ethernet cord and same connection with the same online games and this time to my surprise received zero lag throughout multiple games meaning that it is most likely a problem with my series s and not the internet I have so now I am just confused on if my Xbox is broken or there is some outside factor I am not factoring in

Hi there! Let's do our best to get this sorted out.

Based on your description, it's most likely to be an issue with your Xbox console because your brother's console works normally with your network setup. There's a possibility that your console's Ethernet port is already faulty. Try to clean it and remove the dust that might have been stucked in there.

To further isolate the issue, I would advise you to connect your console to a wireless network or Wi-Fi and then observe if you get the same outcome.

Alternatively, try to use a different router if possible.

No, my xbox is connected to the router through a switch (a good one).

If I check the internet speed in both xbox and other devices by ookla speed test, xbox's internet is not as good as other devices but it is still fine.

But if I check my internet speed in the xbox internet statistics, xbox's internet has much worse internet than all other devices.

Maybe it is because the closest xbox live servers are far away from my location.

I started having this same issue last night. I can connect to home network just fine but now the Internet connection has just stopped working. Can't do anything online with my system but any other device in my house is working just fine with the network
and Internet.

My xbox 360 s has just stopped recognising disks but only since I updated with the latest system update today. It worked fine before I updated. Why has the update broken it? I have tried 3 or 4 games and none of them read, the disks are perfect with no scratches
and all worked fine before the update. Help!!

Ya that is what i was reading any suggestions on good gaming router? I just do not understand why it worked fine for years and then just suddenly stop. I also contacted my isp and they really did not help out at all thanks for the info
