​Why has my xbox 360 console been banned?

Why has my xbox 360 console been banned? That happened after downloading my profile with the one I was playing in my friend's console.

i had a power cut when the power come back on my xbox said i have been console banned for which i think has been done for no reason, i have not got it chipped or brought anything illigal therefore i would like to no y this has happened i believe its for

my serial number is 605971701805 i would b grateful for u getting back to me as soon as possible as i dont think its acceptable spending £200 on a xbox only a year ago for it to b no good for me now

Consoles bans are only issued after careful observation and when they are 120% sure that the console was used to violate the Xbox Live Terms of Use.

If you're sure that your console was not modified to play copied games, or to allow cheating and running unsigned code, you probably did something that egregiously violated the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct.

For example using multiple accounts on one console to harass people and getting around account suspensions, or downloading profiles from other people that don't belong to you, or that you have "bought" in order to access games on that account (which often
were bought with stolen credit cards, and therefore you committed Marketplace theft).

These are just examples, and since we in this forum are "only" gamers like you that like to help voluntarily, we can only guess and speculate what might have caused the ban.
