Why has my VIP been reset

I was at 78% on 2 star on the 1st January 2017 but now the 78% has gone why

MyVIP Star Rank - Reset?

Hello.

I logged on to Xbox rewards tonight to find that my VIP star rank has been reset from 3 back to 1!

Can someone please tell me why my gold membership percentage has been removed?

Ranks reset each year, normally on September 1 but they extended it to reset on January 1 this year.

Absolutely true! I've lost about 80% I spent a lot of money to earn that rank.. this is the most disgusting example of greed from a big company i've ever seen! And I won't be trying to rank up in future.. I feel robbed.. I didn't get any warning saying my
rank will be pulled from under my feet on Jan 1St when I made my digital purchases.. xbox rewards can go to ****, you thieving, underhanded scum.

Absolutely true! I've lost about 80% I spent a lot of money to earn that rank.. this is the most disgusting example of greed from a big company i've ever seen! And I won't be trying to rank up in future.. I feel robbed.. I didn't get any warning saying my
