Why has migrating my account from Mojang reset my account entirely?

My Old minecraft account Haymay was run under Mojang, after a while of not playing. I came back to play minecraft and found my account had been migrated. I was completely fine with it, until I found out my minecraft account reset, but it wasn't like it was a different account with different details. It was the same details and account but it was reset. I went on to hypixel and my stats were all 0 and my level was 0. When I first logged back on, it asked me to change my name, so I did and it somehow created this new account. But I know its somehow still linked as all my skins and mods I downloaded are still in the launcher. I just want my account back and was wondering if anyone could help. The old account is called haymay and the new account is called IAustralian.

The migration of Mojang accounts has now been completed. It is no longer possible to migrate unmigrated accounts or make the move. That is why it says "Mojang account not eligible".

I contacted Mojang Support again.

They now tell me that my Mojang Account has not migrated to the Microsoft Account with the same email address, but to some other Microsoft Account.

My Family has 3 other Microsoft Accounts. So I presume it is possibly one of those.

All those Accounts have Minecraft licenses of their own. So possibly I have a Microsoft Account with a double license to Minecraft.

I asked Mojang Support to what account my Mojang Account has migrated. I have yet to receive an answer.

Hi Darhyl, so this isn't the problem im having. What my problem is, is the mojang account i linked to my microsoft account has basically vanished. So i have access to the microsoft account which i migrated too. however the mojang account "Jamesy03" isn't on my microsoft account which i transfered it too. So it's as if my java account was just reset as my new java name is jamesy033 but im trying to get access to my original and i dont understand why its not linked to my microsoft account. There is java edition on the microsoft account which means i must have migrated too it but its not the correct username. This is the account i want back https://namemc.com/profile/Jamesy03.1

Hi there Josef,

I did migrate my Mojang Account to a Microsoft Account.

I did get an email to confirm the migration went well.

The email address of my Mojang Account is the same email address than that of my Microsoft Account.

The migration took place on 20 juli 2022

Mojang has confirmed me, just before they closed my ticket, that there was no paid Minecraft Content active on my Gamertag .

Does it help that I noticed that my Gamertag on the Mojang Account was different than that of my Microsoft Account.

Both helpdesks had me run through the article you mentioned. Microsoft had me also reinstall the Minecraft Launcher.
