    Why don't purchases from phsical Microsoft Stores count towards rewards credits?


    I recently bought a laptop from the Microsoft store in LA and used my microsoft ID for the purchase and they said that it would count towards the rewards. It has been over a month and still nothing has been added to my account. I would be happy to produce
    a copy of the receipt if it means I'll get rewarded for buying a microsoft product at a microsoft store.

    Do purchases made on Microsoft.com count toward being made from the xbox store for promotions such as the Warrior rewards promotion

    I have pre-ordered Sea of Thieves a few weeks ago and have not received rewards points for the pre-order. Do purchases from the xbox store not count towards rewards?

    There are occasional offers to receive credits from purchasing from microsoftstore.com (like the current Ghost Recon offer) but it would only be on Xbox product, a laptop would not qualify.

    Xbox Rewards No Reward for Preorder

    There were no Xbox Rewards offers to receive 6,000 credits for Destiny 2. That was an offer from the Microsoft Rewards program. Preorders did not count towards that offer.

    Double checking what counts

    There are currently no offers to receive credits for hardware, so the console bundle would not count towards rewards.

    Subscriptions, in-game conumables, and preorders do not count towards VIP. So Halo MCC would count.

    In order to receive credits, your purchases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates. So any purchases that don't count towards other offers on the site would
    still award credits if you are eligible for VIP rebates.

    For the 10,000 credits, you had to purchase the game as a physical disc from microsoftstore.com Otherwise, it would have counted towards the 6,000 credit "Simply Rewarding" offer if you activated the offer before making the purchase.

    If you need support to look into it, you will need to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions support forum.
