    I am a volunteer at a local thrift store and we just received an Xbox One S in the donation bin. After hooking the HDMI cable to the HDMI Out port to our TV, connected the power cord to the wall socket and pressed the Xbox symbol button on the front panel, I do not see any video on the TV. The Xbox symbol button is lit and makes a quick sound when pressed. No other cables are connected to the console.

    I tried the "Reset your internal power supply" on the Microsoft Xbox Hardware and Networking site but no change in the video.

    This console is white.

    Please advise and thanks in advance,

    The HDMI port may be damaged

    Please also check you haven't accidentally plugged it into the HDMI in port

    Its not broken don't worry every console is like this I have contacted support and they have told me its just because of the way the Xbox is built inside and takes up a lot of space inside so don't worry their is no way it will fall off

    Hi,

    Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox was only optimised for Xbox One X it hasn't been optimised for the Series S or X hardware. On the Series S it runs in Xbox One Backwards compatibility mode. As such, it runs at around 900P (around 1600x900). This means it will look quite soft looking on a 4K display, although it should not affect the colours or the contrast.

    Unfortunately, RDR2 is not great on the Series S, especially on a 4K display. FIFA 23 is Series S|X optimised, which is why this game looks a lot better.
