Why doesn’t the Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare add on work on Xbox Series S?

I have Red Dead Redemption on my xbox series s which I bought a couple month back. Today I saw the undead nightmare add on was on sale so I bought it. The problem is once it was done downloading, I started up red dead redemption, clicked on undead nightmare, but instead of starting undead nightmare, it took me to a screen that shows downloadable content installed.

RDR Undead Nightmare was not in the downloads. The screen gives you the option to press ‘x’ which brings up the xbox live marketplace and shows that I do indeed have the undead nightmare add on downloaded. I go to manage games and it also shows that it is installed on there.

Am I missing something? This is the only option since the RDR Undead Nightmare collection is off the market. Microsoft also doesn’t give the option to refund.

I’ve also tried reinstalling red dead redemption alone with undead nightmare still installed.

I tried reinstalling undead nightmare with red dead redemption still installed.

I tried reinstalling both.

None of these things work.

HI, Yeah Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare is backward compatible.

I am playing on Xbox one and I’m using the disc for my 360 but I downloaded the under nightmare DLC. When I go to play it just gives me the normal or hard-core version of red dead redemption and never gives me an option to play in the nightmare.

-Please load up the game until it shows the title, don't press any button or don't enter the game once it loads.

-Press the View and Menu button at the same time. It will open the Xbox 360 guide.

-Press X button to sign out.

-After signing out, you'll see download profile.

-Once your profile has been downloaded it will update on the console.

-Enter the game
