    BEFORE POSTING THIS I HAVE CALLED MICROSOFT AND THEY TOLD ME THIS IS A NETWORK ISSUE MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING - I believe it has something to do with windows 11 as my friends on windows 10 have not had this issue. I will try to post when there is a solution, But I would like this post to serve for any later issues as I wasn't able to see anything about this issue on the forums myself. I think its good for people to know it might not just be them or their PC.

    As the question states, I can not figure out why my xbox app will not work. This is an out of the box fresh prebuild from Ibuypower, it is the RDY Y60 002 if you need the specs What I mean by this is when I open the Xbox app on my computer, It opens and says "Xbox needs an update. We're getting Xbox ready for you..." and that is as far as I get. If I uninstall the application, it will not redownload under any circumstances. I have used the microsoftstore, and website launcher to attempt to download the app again. When I use the downloaded launcher, I either get error code or it sits and "downloads" but freezes half way through and sits there.

    I know what you're going to ask. whats the error code. I wiped my computer completely and on longer have the history of searching for it and can no longer replicate it. It only sits as a download and never goes.

    I currently have the same "Xbox needs an update. We're getting Xbox ready for you..." and I have left it over night. after a while it just gives up and gives a try again button.

    I have tried almost everything you can from the youtube videos to other posts on fourms.

    I have,

    Reset all gaming services related apps

    used PowerShell to remove and readd gaming services

    wiped my brand new PC

    Diabled my firewall (its back on now)

    turned of wifi settings (something like IPV6 or something)

    deleted everything to do with xbox and reinstalled.

    As the post states. There will eventually be an update sent out as a solution. It's not just you and there's nothing we can do on our sides... that I'm aware of.

    I've tried all of those with no avail. It's working fine in the Xbox/Gamepass app.... Just doesn't work in other apps. Why would it have been working fine, and then now it doesn't work after the update?

    They told me that this is an issue with xbox live worldwide effecting the app.

    They had me uninstall their app, reload it. Reset xbox one, reset router.

    My Netflix app only doesn't work on the xbox one, works on laptop fine. This is why they said know Microsoft issue with xbox
