Why doesn't my account work anymore?

So I have a Minecraft account through Microsoft that just does not work anymore. I could use it while logged in but if I tried to log in like normal it would say the account is not found. I didn't change any info and I don't know what caused it to start changing. My ign was TTV. I have an alt account that works perfectly fine, and using it I have seen proof the account still exists. What should I do?

When was the last time you had access to your original account?

If your account email address does not exist anymore as a Microsoft account, it's possible that someone has taken over your account and replaced your account email address with a new one.

Just to set your expectation, due to our account safety and security, only us the account owners have the ability to recover our accounts and verify their ownership. Even a Microsoft Support cannot recover our accounts on our behalf because they're protected by the security information we have setup on our accounts which we only have access to.

If your email address was replaced, you cannot use your own email address to recover your account. You must know the current email address of your account to start the account recovery process. Without it, you cannot start the recovery process because it's the primary key of your account.

I suggest to check your mailbox (inbox, spam/junk folder) to find traces of the new email address that's currently linked to your original account. If the account was added to an Xbox console, it would be best to check it from there too.

In case you know the current email, you may try to reset the account password through https://account.live.com/pw
***Make sure to sign out any account signed in to https://account.microsoft.com website before starting an account recovery.

If it doesn’t work, try to fill out the account recovery form on https://account.live.com/acsr

I only have the one email linked to the account and it says it doesn't work at all.

And why havn't they banned our accounts then? I care more that my £200 xbox doesn't work anymore than my saved games.

Groove music was discontinued on December 21, 2017. That's why it doesn't work anymore.
