Why doesn't music ripped from CD's have any track info??

What kind of music? Music you ripped from CD to the drive, or things like Rock Band tracks?



I just ripped a CD to one of my consoles and then connected a drive and transfer cable. I see the option to tranfer all music when I elect to set up a transfer from the console to the transfer cable device.

To rip music from a CD it must be a standard audioCD, the type you can play in any CD player. You can do this by going to the Music Library, select the CD as the source and then the Rip CD option.

You can't trandfer music from an MP3 player or a MP3 disc.

I burned a CD with tracks from my computer, but it doesn't let me rip it on the Xbox.

You still wont be able to transfer music from the iPod to your 360 though Face, only listen to it with the music player.

The only way to get music on your hard drive is by ripping it from a CD. Buy a pack of rewritables and do it that way if you have a lot of tracks.

To rip a CD to your hard drive, all you have to do is go to the music page, select my music apps and lastly select System Music Player.

From here you will see the classic layout out. The 2nd option on the left side will let you rip your tracks. The only way you wont be able to rip a CD is if it's one of those retail disc that prevent you from ripping.

Back in October I purchased a deluxe double album set. It had 4 disc, 2 disc were for the first album and the other 2 disc were blank CD-R so you could burn album 2 on it's release date. Today is the release date but will received our digi version yesterday.
Last night I managed to rip the 2 disc from October and the 2 disc from the CD-R I just burned. I also burned a few other demos and covers from them on a CD-RW I have and that also let me rip music onto my hard drive too.
