    Why doesn't it give me the option to use 120hz?


    I've been trying to use 120 hz and I've even followed many yt tutorials on this but whenever I got to settings the option to change my HZ is not there. Please help

    Please make sure that your console is connected using the HDMI 2.1 cable that is included in the box.

    Kindly double-check the specifications of your TV as well if it supports a 120 refresh rate. It is possible that it supports 120, however, you will need to lower the resolution.

    It allows me to select 120hz with 1440p but then gives me the error message saying its not compatible. Even tho the option is there for it

    I don't have any tvs that support 120hz so I was wondering if it was just a glitch or something before I bought a monitor.

    I was checking online your monitor HDMI port, it has a 1.4 HDMI port

    This is why you're not able to use 120hz with your Xbox depending on which resolution are you trying to set.

    If even lowering the resolution the options doesn't appear, this means is not compatible

    Xbox requires an HDMI 2.1 port to use properly 120Hz, if HDMI port is below that mark, sadly is not possible

    There is no workarounds if the option finally doesn't appear, is a hardware limitation
