Prob because they don't want kids who play on the Xbox to hear curse words

Freedom of speech doesn't apply on Xbox since it's not the government. You agree to their rules when you sign up and profanity is not permitted.

Sorry but that is not what "freedom of speech" is. I am a huge advocate of Freedom of Speech but I also understand Freedom of Speech does not extent over the Rights of Private Ownership. Xbox LIVE is not Public Land or Public Space.
