Why does the xbox web browser suck so god damn bad?

We are sorry that you are experiencing problems with your Microsoft product, based on your description, it seems that you are using the browser to watch a video on your Xbox console but it crashes after 20 minutes or so, you can try updating your Xbox console.

Restarting the Console: Press and hold the "Xbox" button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds to turn off the console. The console will shut down. Turn the console back on by pressing the "Xbox" button on the console or controller. Check for updates: Go to Settings > System > Updates. If it says "Host Update Available", install the latest update.



Remember that the Edge browser on Xbox is designed for basic browsing tasks, not video streaming. For security reasons, the browser has access to a limited number of resources, which may cause problems when playing videos, especially higher quality videos. If you wish to stream video on Xbox, we recommend switching to the official streaming apps available in the Xbox Store. These apps are optimized for consoles, while the website is for PC and mobile browsers.

I don't understand the fascination with getting a web browser for the console, there has not been one yet that does not suck.

Personally I hope MS never introduce one, it opens up too many possibilities for bad things to happen.

God no I hate Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. So many movies he made last years sucked so bad just the same crap moody character in all of them. He has nothing to do with xbox not sure why he should be the mascot

If I may ask, is your Xbox series S console connected to the internet, wired or wireless?

If wireless, try to connect your console to a wired network connection as part of our troubleshooting steps then check if the download speed works normally.

If the issue still persists, kindly try to perform a factory reset keep my games and apps.

Before you proceed with your Factory reset I just want to inform you that you will only choose Reset and keep my games and apps to make sure your saved data won't be deleted permanently and also all of the accounts that are set as home Xbox will be removed and all signed in accounts will be signed out from the console.

If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

I just realized when you mentioned reset you meant factory reset keep my games and apps, my sincerest apologies.
