Why does the xbox remote play not work in xbox app anymore?

We have no information, but if I have to speculate it would have to do with now selling games not on Game Pass, which Apple would want a cut of. The same reason the Game Pass app went away on IOS

Huh? Remote Play is nothing to do with Xcloud or Game Pass. And if it won't work, then how can they get it working on their Android device? And they have an Xbox so that's not the issue.

They are trying to Remote Play their Series X games from their Series X console to their PC via the Remote Play feature and using the Xbox App. This should work without an issue, as it does with their Android device. There is nothing on the Remote Play page to suggest Game Pass is needed

Tried both, but unfortunately it didn't work, I forgot to mention that this happens to me even in remote play on the xbox app, and that the menus run fine, it's just the games that just aren't smooth.

I don't know why gamepass games on the browser run fine bug remote play and xbox game pass app run poorly.

Hi, I think I just found a workaround, which I’ll share with you in case it happens to someone else.

If you go into the app and go to xbox remote control, press the xbox button and select turn console on, it seems it allows the app to connect again for remote play. which means you can actually resolve the issue remotely.

I'm having similar problems. Remote play is not working but I think the app can comunciate with the console because I see the library and I can change the name of the console in the app.

If I rename the Xbox console on the Xbox settings, remote playing starts working. But after a few hours, the problem again.

Another problem I have is with the remote controller of the app and with the connection from digital assistants. Remote conroller and digital assistants don't work until I change the xbox name on the xbox settings.
