Why does the Xbox One S heat up like a BBQ when they are Brand New or Old Consoles?

Place the console where it can get air easily, especially in this summer period where electrical equipment suffers.

Yeah its very normal , when i was playing zombies i had it on for 3 days on i just pause go the bed , wake up , go yo work , come back , a despause and back to the action and guess what , i got the round 185 and froze mmmmmm yeah yeha i rage so bad 🙄

I have an og xbox one & a xbox one s & neither get that hot.

They get slightly warm but that's to be expected.I use my xbox one s for a good few hours every day.

Both are in well ventilated places.

To be honest my xbox one only heats up, even after playing 8 hours. Do you leave your xbox in a place with space and good ventilation?

That usually means it's not in a well ventilated space. You may want to move it somewhere where it can get better ventilation. Otherwise it may need to be serviced. It could be something internal that's causing the issue.
