Why does the 'press y' method of reporting cheats not work on call of duty any more?

unfortunately, as I said,pressing Y does not work, its greyed out and does not open anything. Either I have done something this end or its more serious.

just to be clear, in multiplayer I was against someone who was obviously using a trick control panel I pressed Y but nothing happened, I tried it for all the opposing team but nothing. I turned it off and on again (standard) still the same problem for all opposing teams.

I do not have scooby what has happened

I advise to contact the developer directly to see i there is any other resolution or to make them aware of the issue.

Question: How can I report a player in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?

Answer: If you suspect that a player is cheating, or you feel a player is using language or a customization that you find offensive, you can report the player within the game.

To report a player from the Multiplayer menu:

Press Y (Xbox) or △ (PlayStation) to open the Social menu, or select the Social tab on PC.
Select Recent Players.
Highlight the player you wish to report and press A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation), or select the player on PC.
Select Report Player.
Choose one of the available options.

Please note: If you choose to report a player who is on your Friends list, be sure to remove that player from your Friends list.

Please do not call out gamertags on the forums, instead use the dedicated reporting tools as follows:

From a game lobby:

• Select the player

• View Profile.

• Select File Complaint.

• Give a reason for filing the complaint: i.e. trash talking or cheating

In Call of duty:

• Push Y to go to your friends.

• Go to recent players.

• Select the person you would like to report.

• Click report player.

• From here you have 4 options to report the player Offensive language, Exploiting, Cheating, Boosting

Hi! So, Call of Duty Warzone puts players of every platform together (Xbox, Playstation and PC), BUT, if a player isn't playing on a Xbox, you will not be able to find its gamertag, which means you can't report him using normal methods.

The only way you can report them is through the game itself clicking on the "recent players" (pressing Y on the menu if i remember correctly) and finding the name of the cheater).
