    Why does PC game pass not work?


    I have rebuilt my machine twice now - brand new, no drivers, all windows updates and windows store updates - and it gets a "something went wrong" or is stuck on 0 percent 0 bytes - I am yet to test on this build, but once something downloads (takes days for no reason, I have super fast internet) I hit launch, and the game takes 20 minutes to open up the "checking for updates" splash screen - then another 10 minutes to launch the game - which then fails.

    I have tried all of the listed fixes around the internet, this should defintely work on a fresh build - I am on AMD - is this the issue?

    Hey mate thanks for the reply - yeah machine is brand new - 4090 gaming beast - lots of ram, latest processor etc.

    We understand that games pass did not work on your PC. As per description, you have rebuilt the device twice already.

    May we ask if you have checked the required technical specs for game pass apps? Also you made mentioned that the device has no drivers, this could be one of the reasons.

    What we can suggest here is for you to check the basic minimum specs for a machine to run game apps.

    Most games in the Xbox Game Pass for PC library will require a PC that meets the minimum system requirements listed below:

    Operating system: Windows 10 or newer

    Processor: 1.5 GHz or faster

    Memory: 4 GB of RAM

    Graphics: DirectX 11 or newer with WDDM 1.0 driver

    If you purchased Game Pass Ultimate, then yes, it works both on PC and console. Game Pass does not. You have the console Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
