why does my xbox one s take too long to boot and all my games keep crashing

- Do you have any external devices plugged into your console's USB ports?

- The reset you tried, was it done keeping games and apps or removing everything?

- The black screen you mentioned, does it come up after the green Xbox boot-up screen?

Wow I just read this thread. I just bought my xbox one on 9/5 and I have yet to get a game working and playing. It does just like everyone else's and the game crashes. Only the NFL and ESPN apps are working the rest take too long to start. I'm on my 3rd
brand new xbox one and none of them work. WTF MS!

I'm using XBox One Elite. My problem with the game is exactly the same as descriptions above. When finished downloading, start the game for the first time, it's suddenly crashed when pressing A to continue. Try to load the game again and it works. Quit and
relaunch the game, from now on it crashes frequently when finishing the animation of MOON logo.

Hi Brandi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

The game installation will depend on your network download speed along with the file size.

Are you connected wirelessly or via wired? If you're connected wirelessly, please try connecting your console to your router directly using an ethernet cable.

If wirelessly, please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

I went through all the steps but it still wont completely start up it still shots off after 5 seconds in doesn't even boot up onto my screen. This is my second Xbox One S in 3 months and I'm very concerned with why this keeps happening.
