    Why does my xbox one only read some discs?


    My xbox one s reads some discs within seconds and others not at all, i wont be buying anymore xbox games until i see how this can be resolved as its not the first time its happened and frankly its too costly to waste money.

    Xbox 360 games cant be read

    one blue ray and one dvd disc worked and all the others didn’t.

    A few games like gta 5 works instantly but not majority of my game discs

    please help

    Use a gentle, microfiber cloth to clean the discs, and if you can, try using the discs on another Xbox One to see if they work.

    Hi,

    it happened before in this forum that players bought games for the newer Xbox Series X/S thinking that they can play them on the Xbox One S.

    Check the covers of the games if there stands X/S on it. If so they don't work on Xbox One S.

    The discs are clean with no scratches, some of them are brand new discs this is not an issue with the quality of the discs i use a microfibre cloth. unfortunately i can’t test them on another xbox as i don't own one nor know someone who does and would let me try
