I had this problem with the xbox one x. It was a couple of days later that the display did not work at all. Believed to be a video chip failure.

My Xbox will sometimes turn on and not show up on the TV and when it does show off the TV if flickers on and off I looked at the HDMI port I change the cord I tried a different outlet and everything does it have something to do with

just to be sure does the HDMI Cable that is routed through the wall and other parts in between console and TV a HDMI cable support things like 4k for 60Hz displayes etc?

If there is a doubt then that could be the cause why the the setup isn't working.

Also be sure to use the HDMI Out port on the console when connecting and not the HDMI In port.

Hello C_JA, it's weird that this is happening and when you restart the console and the TV the problem disappears.

Have you tried changing HDMI cable and also swap the HDMI port that connects on your TV if it is in HDMI 1 put in HDMI 2 for example?
